At Red Chapter Clothing, we truly love and appreciate each and
every one of our fans from the bottom of our hearts. Shauna
O’Donnell of MUEN (Music Underground Entertainment News) is
one of our biggest fans, a dear friend of ours, and an absolute
champion at connecting us with rockers all over the world. And we
love her to death.
Back in January of 2011, Shauna interviewed RED’s lead guitarist
Anthony Armstrong about their brand new album Until We Have
Faces. Shauna knows all of us at Red Chapter Clothing very well,
and knows that we’ve been fans of RED for years now. So, after
the interview, Shauna introduced Anthony to our clothing line. It just
so happened that Anthony was already a fan of Ambigrams and he
was totally blown away by our concepts. Anthony mentioned to
Shauna that he was interested in getting hooked up with us and
hearing more about who we are and what we’ve got going on.
So, Mark Palmer reached out to Anthony and the two struck up a
dialogue and a friendship. As long-time fans of RED’s insane musical
talent, we felt honored to finally be able to share a portion of our
talent with them. It was definitely a proud moment for us to send a
box of Red Chapter gear out to the band. This was their response:
“Hey Mark,
Well to say the least all the guys love the shirts. Our fans
will see us wearing these all over...I actually had a guy at the
Conan Show there in L.A. comment on the Saint/Sinner shirt.
I told him to check out the website.” -Anthony

Needless to say, we were stoked. Then, a couple weeks later we
were contacted by a Sony Music representative who said that he
had been speaking with the guys in RED and their management.
They loved our concepts and artwork so much that they proposed
the idea of a Red Chapter/RED signature shirt. We were humbled
by the request and more than up to the challenge.

Mark immediately started sketching out ideas and after kicking
around several concepts he suggested artwork that would revolve
around RED’s first radio single from Until We Have Faces called
“Feed the Machine.”

“It’s a super aggressive song with a sonic depth that connotes a
sinister, industrial relentlessness,” Mark said. “The lyrics create a
metaphor where the world is a dangerous machine, and convey the
message that we must resist the world’s flawed expectations and
rather, we should look to God as the source of our identity and
self-expression.”
Thus, the imagery on the shirt depicts the world as a large gear
surrounded by an intricate gear assembly with skulls hidden subtly
into the art. In true Red Chapter form, the “Feed The Machine”
Ambigram hand-drawn by Mark Palmer acts as the central focus of
the shirt and is framed by red metallic foil. The splatter pattern in the
background and RED logo on the front are also in red metallic foil.

Currently, the Red Chapter/RED signature “Feed The Machine” shirt
is ONLY available on the road at RED concerts. So get out to a RED
show, head over to the merch table and tell them how much you
love Red Chapter Clothing!
